Privacy Policy — AstroNila

This policy explains what information the AstroNila app ("we", "the app") collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. AstroNila is developed and operated by DeveloperDesks.

Information we collect

Account information you provide when you register:

• Name
• Email address
• Password (stored as a one-way hash — we cannot see or recover your actual password)
• Date of birth
• Gender (optional)
• Relationship status (optional)
• Rasi (zodiac sign)
• Focus area (career, business, money, love, family, or health)
• Preferred language (English or Tamil)

Information collected automatically:

• Login sessions (a bearer token tied to your account, used to keep you signed in)
• App-open streak (how many consecutive days you've opened the app), used only to show your own streak count
• Device push-notification token (only if you enable notifications), used to deliver your daily reading reminder

How we use this information

• To create and manage your account and show you personalized daily, weekly, and monthly astrology content
• To send you an optional daily notification when your reading is ready
• To let you use in-app tools like name numerology and compatibility checking, which use the name/rasi values you enter for that specific check and are not stored beyond computing the result

We do not sell your information to anyone.

Third-party services

• OneSignal — if you enable notifications, your device's push token is shared with OneSignal (a push-notification delivery service) solely to deliver the daily reminder. See OneSignal's privacy policy for how they handle this data.

Our backend runs on our own servers (developerdesks.com).

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a password-protected database on our servers. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt) and never stored in plain text. Login sessions use expiring bearer tokens.

Your choices

• You can update your name, rasi, focus area, and language at any time from the Profile screen.
• You can turn notifications on or off at any time from the Profile screen.
• To delete your account and associated data, email us at the address below and we'll remove your account within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

AstroNila is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
